Brad Hogg reflects on PSL v IPL debate
With the advent of T20 cricket, many top leagues started popping up on the arena. To name the few, Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Big Bash League (BBL) and Caribbean Premier League (CPL) garner a lot of attraction. With PSL and IPL belonging to arch-rivals, there remains a hot debate about the best tournament of the lot.
Recently, former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg came forward to share his thoughts on this discussion. The cricketer turned commentator picked the Indian T20 tournament as the best league because of the fact that a separate window is made to make all the top cricketers available for IPL.
However, Hogg gave same points to both the leagues on the request of a fan. This is so because he wasn’t able to ignore the impact of Pakistan’s T20 carnival made lately. Moreover, the 49-year old highlighted how PSL grew in stature and allowed the cricket crazy nation of Pakistan to restore the glory of the empty stadiums of the country by bringing International cricket back to Pakistan.
