New Sardar Ahmed Patel stadium expected to host the IPL final

The New Sardar Ahmed Patel stadium in Ahmedabad, which is currently under-construction, is expected to host the final of the Indian Premier League edition 2020. The stadium has the capacity of more than 100,000 people making it the biggest stadium in the cricket world.

The IPL authorities met on 27 January 2020 and decided that the final of the mega-event will be conducted in the new stadium. However, there is no official statement from the BCCI yet. The sources confirmed that the decision will be made in February 2020.

Remember, the match between Asia XI and the World XI was scheduled to be played at the New Sardar Ahmed Patel Stadium, however; the project requires a little more time in its completion. The Indian Premier League edition 2020 will begin from March 29 and will continue till May 24.
