Masood rues absence of senior players

Pakistan’s opening batsman Shan Masood, who has been given the responsibility to lead Southern Punjab in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy has said that the absence of senior players like Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez was a major setback for his side.

The amount of senior players in Southern Punjab side is already on the lower side and both Hafeez and Wahab would stretch that number further.

However, Shan Masood believes that his side is still strong enough to compete against other five teams in the tournament. Masood also said that his focus is on the upcoming tough tour of Australia and the Quaid-e-Azam trophy will surely help the batters in preparing for that tour.
