Kapil Dev gives the ultimate compliment to Kohli

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has become one of the biggest stars in cricket world with his on-field game and off-field demeanor. The cricket megastar is said to be a role model for the coming generations of cricketers as he has changed the game in his own way.

The cricketer has recently been honored by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for his contributions for the game not specifically in India but throughout the world. Kohli now has a whole stand named after him at the rebranded Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev was also in attendance when the Virat Kohli Stand was unveiled at the stadium. In his interview, Kapil heaped praise on Kohli as he said that he never thought that anyone would even come close to Sachin Tendulkar’s records, but the Indian skipper is showing how it could be done.

“Kohli has to go a long way. It is not right to talk about him in the middle of his career. But what he has given to us is unparallel. Never expected that somebody can come close to Sachin Tendulkar whom we think is the ultimate but Kohli has taken the game to a different level,” he added.
