Former Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has been quite vocal about senior members of the current national side as he often goes after the captain, Virat Kohli, and other players whenever India loses a match.

Gambhir has once again taken a jibe at Kohli by saying that the modern-day great is nothing without the presence of Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in the side. He also mentioned the performances of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) under the leadership of Kohli as they have mostly finished at the last spot under him.

“Virat Kohli is a good captain for India only because he has MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma behind him. If you are talking about Kohli the captain, he would have won RCB an IPL title since he has taken over the captaincy there. Most of the times his team RCB has finished on number 8. Virat as a batsman is in top four, but as a captain, he is way below Dhoni and Rohit. There is no one to give advice when Kohli leads RCB,” he said.
