The most successful bowler in the history of HBL PSL has come out to be Wahab Riaz. Wahab has been representing Peshawar Zalmi in all the three previous editions. The left arm pacer was also the driving force behind the triumph of Zalmi in the second season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Wahab Riaz has picked up 48 wickets at an average of 16.50 with an economy of 6.75. This is purely an exceptional record for any bowler in this shortest format of the game which is tailor-made for batsmen and doesn’t provide bowlers much room to save themselves.
Pakistan is known for producing extraordinary pacers, and Wahab Riaz is truly a great addition to it. The left arm quick also represents his national side but is not part of the team nowadays. He has also been in the news recently for his excellent bowling in the BPL, where he also took a hat-trick. The upcoming season of the PSL may bring him a great chance to catch the eye of selectors and book a place back in the national side.
