Wildermuth, White make it two-in-two for Renegades

Melbourne Renegades made it two-in-two with a comprehensive win over the visiting Brisbane Heat side in the sixth match of Big Bash League.

Fielding first, the Renegades never let the visitors break shackles, with regular strikes. Wicketkeeprer Jimmy Peirson and skipper Brendon McCullum fell early in the piece, before Alex Ross and Ben Cutting provided some respite.

Jack Wildermuth returned with the figures of three for 16, including the wickets of Peirson, Sam Heazlett and Manus Labuschange.

Alex Ross top-scored with 48 before being bowled in the last over by Dwayne Bravo who finished with two for 27. Brad Hogg also chipped in with two for 25.

In reply, Shadab Khan removed Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris early in the piece but it was all too easy for Renegades from there on Cameroon White and Tom Cooper struck fifties to script back-to-back victories.

Jack Wildermuth was adjudged man of the match for his destructive opening spell.
