Hasan Ali returns to Test side, Pakistan name nine uncapped players for South Africa series

Pakistan have made a large number of changes to their Test line-up that toured New Zealand recently after newly appointed chief selector Mohammad Wasim announced the team's 20-man squad for the home series against South Africa.

Several newcomers have earned a spot in the completely revamped Test squad at the expense of Shan Masood, Mohammad Abbas and Haris Sohail. Meanwhile, Imam-ul-Haq, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah have been left out of the team owing to injury concerns.

Hasan Ali, who was declared player of the tournament in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, has made a comeback to the traditional red-ball format after a gap of almost three years.
