Pakistan players allowed to take part in four leagues including PSL
Pakistan's centrally contracted players can play a maximum of four leagues including the HBL Pakistan Super League, according to the new No Objection Certificate (NOC) policy announced by the PCB.
This is a significant increase from the earlier policy adopted by the PCB, which restricted the participation of players in overseas competitions.
Concerns regarding the players' workload have been taken into consideration before this proposal was reviewed and approved by the Board of Governors during their 57th meeting.
Domestic players, who are labelled as white-ball specialists, will be required to commit themselves to the 50-over Pakistan Cup and the National T20 Cup in order to be eligible for such NOCs.
“I think this is a flexible, balanced and comprehensive NOC policy which addresses as many of the likely scenarios that we will face," PCB CEO Wasim Khan was quoted as saying in the board's media release.
“We have given primacy and importance to player workload, international and domestic commitments, but at the same time it was important that players are given the opportunities to make additional earnings and develop their skills around the world."
