2019 BPL Draft: Seven Pakistani players make the cut

429 overseas and 181 Bangladesh cricketers signed up for the glitzy Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Seven Pakistan players will be seen in action during this year's edition which is set to commence from December 11.

The prominent Twenty20 established players in the A-plus category comprise Shahid Afridi, Hasan Ali, Rilee Rossouw, Thisara Perera, Dwayne Smith, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo.

Seasoned coaches will be seen devising strategies and sharing their game plans with the players as Grant Flower has joined Rangpur while Ottis Gibson will be working with Cumilla Warriors. Owais Shah (England former player) will be sharing his insights with Rajashahi Royals.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has become the sole owner of the league and is handling all the affairs themselves after a deadlock with the franchises who were at the helm of all league affairs in the preceding seasons.

Bangladesh' stalwart Mushfiqur Rahim was roped in by Khulna Tigers while strike bowler Mustafizur Rahman will be hurling his thunderbolts for Rangpur Rangers. Imad Wasim will spin a web around the batsmen with his subtle variations for Chattogram Challengers.

Steve Smith and David Warner have opted out of BPL 2019 edition.
