Saima Builders, Pakistan Customs suffer third straight loss

The 10th day of the Brighto presents Naya Nazimabad Ramzan Cup 2019 turned out to be the last day for Misbah-ul-Haq's Saima Builders and Pakistan Customs as they lost to Agha Estate and KK Panthers respectively.

In the first match, Agha Estate batted after winning the toss and scored 158 for 7. Captain Fawad Khan was the top scorer with 44 runs while Usman Maya played a good hand of 27. Saima Builders’ Tahir Khan and Ehsan Adil got two wickets each.

In reply, Saima Builders had a disastrous beginning. They lost 4 wickets for 38 runs. Misbah got out for 8 and Imran Nazir departed for just 4 runs.

Raees Ahmed held one end and kept on scoring to make the encounter interesting but he perished on 75 and so were the hopes of Saima Builders, who were eventually bundled out for 147 in the last over.

Amir Sohail got 4 wickets and was declared man of the match.

In the second match, KK Panters batted first against Pakistan Customs and scored 175 for 6.

After losing the top order early, Lal Kumar and Habibullah stabilised the innings with a 55-run stand.

Lal Kumar was the top scorer with 47 runs. Late order hitting by Imtiaz Leghari propelled KK Panthers to the competitive total. Leghari hammered 33 off just 13 balls.

In reply, Pakistan Customs were never in the hunt. Seven batsmen couldn't enter double digits as the whole team got out for 100 in the 18th over. Jibran Khan topped the batting chart with 27.

The 75-run defeat was the third consecutive loss for Pakistan Customs. Lal Kumar of KK Panters was declared man of the match.
