Eoin Morgan suspended for fourth ODI due to slow over-rate

England captain Eoin Morgan has been suspended for the fourth ODI and fined 40 per cent of his match fee after maintaining a slow over-rate in the 3rd ODI against Pakistan.

The rest of the England players have also been fined 20 per cent of their match fees.

This was Morgan’s second offence within 12 months after England were found guilty of a slow over-rate against the West Indies on February 22.

Morgan’s cause wasn’t helped when 43 of England’s overs were bowled by seamers.

Jonny Bairstow reprimanded

Jonny Bairstow was also reprimanded by the ICC for smashing his stumps in frustration after being dismissed for 128.

In addition, one demerit point was added to his disciplinary record.

England lead the five-match series 2-0 with remaining games to be played at Trent Bridge and Headingley.

The first ODI at The Oval was washed out due to persistent rain.
