Tendulkar terms Bumrah 'best in the world'
Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar has hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the "best bowler in the world" after he played a key role in Mumbai Indians' journey to their fourth IPL title.
HE took 2-14 in the final as Mumbai edged Chennai Super Kings by one run.
The 25-year-old will lead India's pace attack at the World Cup which starts later this month.
"Without any doubt, let me go on record and say that he is the best bowler in the world at this stage," said Tendulkar.
"The best is yet to come," added the Indian great who currently serves as Mumbai's mentor.
With Chennai needing 18 off the last two overs, Bumrah choked Chennai in the penultimate over.
He was named man-of-the-match for his efforts.
"Winning a fourth title for Mumbai makes me very happy," said Bumrah, the top-ranked ODI bowler.
"I was surprisingly very calm. I wasn't panicking, just focusing on the next ball."
