Alex Hales and Chris Jordan will be joining Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi respectively for the play-off stages of the Pakistan Super League 2019.

Hales, a top-order batsman for England, will be making a comeback to Islamabad United after representing them in four matches during the last season.

The hard-hitting England batsman is replacing fellow countryman Ian Bell in the United squad.

“I am delighted to be back with Islamabad United for this year’s HBL Pakistan Super League and I can’t wait to play in front of our passionate fans.

“We have seen exciting cricket at the HBL PSL this year and Islamabad United has put in some excellent performances. I look forward to joining the squad and I hope that I can help the team lift the trophy once again,” said Hales.

England fast bowler Chris Jordan will return to Pakistan this year as he rejoins the Peshawar Zalmi squad for the play-off stages.

Jordan had to leave the Zalmi squad midway through the season as he was a part of the England T20I squad which faced West Indies. He received the man-of-the-series award as England thumped Windies by 3-0.

Peshawar Zalmi will be going head to head with Quetta Gladiators in the qualifier on March 13 followed by the first eliminator between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings on March 14.
