The hunt for the new Indian coach
After the much-coveted position of Indian head coach fell vacant following Anil Kumble’s resignation post-ICC Champions Trophy defeat at the hands of Pakistan and the speculations of a rift between him and Virat Kohli, BCCI has been on the look for suitable candidates.
The deadline to apply for the job has been extended to July 9 as eight candidates have applied for the job. The mix includes experienced campaigners such as Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Phil Simmons and Ravi Shastri on the one hand, while the likes of the inexperienced figure of Virender Sehwag on the other. Other candidates include Venkatesh Prasad, Lalchand Rajput and Dodda Ganesh.
