Match 20, KFC T20 Big Bash League 2018/2019, 5 Jan 2019
Melbourne Stars won by 8 wickets
BALL BY BALL
Player Of The Match
17.2 - D Sams to G Maxwell
Off cutter length ball, to leg on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Finished in style with a six. Maxwell has had enough of picking up the singles and decided to get the game over with. Melbourne dominated the run-chase from ball one and took advantage of the powerplay. Not enough change of pace deliveries from the Thunder bowlers which they found hard to play so Melbourne were able to comfortably knock the ball around and take advantage of anything loose. Big win for the Stars as they move into second spot.
17.1 - D Sams to N Larkin
Slower ball full toss, down leg side on the front foot pushing, to mid off for 1 run, fielded by Sangha.

16.6 - G Sandhu to G Maxwell
Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, bottom edge to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Buttler. Right off the end of the bat. Very good change of pace but there hasn't been enough of them from the Thunder bowlers.
16.5 - G Sandhu to N Larkin
Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, in the air under control to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Rainbird.
16.4 - G Sandhu to N Larkin
Off cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, to mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Watson.
16.3 - G Sandhu to G Maxwell
Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to square leg for 1 run, fielded by Watson.
