Sydney Sixers won by 5 wickets
BALL BY BALL
19.3 - B Cutting to T Curran
Yorker, to leg on the front foot working, to short fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Ur Rahman. Sydney Sixers have sealed a thrilling five wicket victory over Brisbane Heat to start BBL cricket in 2019 in fine style. Chris Lynn's typically brutal 84 launched the hosts up to 164/7, but Moises Henriques responded with a powerful half century of his own. Jordan Silk's composed innings took Sixers to the brink of victory before it was finished with three balls to spare by Tom Curran. That means the Heat are still to register a victory this season, whereas the Sixers jump up to second in the table. While the crowd might be disappointed with the result, they have been treated to a great evening of entertainment as the match see-sawed back and forth under the sun at Metricon Stadium.
19.2 - B Cutting to T Curran
Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Curran blasts his first ball to the fence, surely that is the match sealed now for the men in magenta.
19.1 - B Cutting to J Philippe
Length ball, outside off stump moves in front flick, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Heazlett.

18.6 - J Lalor to J Silk
Length ball, to leg moves in front flick, thick edge in the air uncontrolled to short fine leg, by Peirson. There is another twist in the tale, Silk has to depart without finishing the job. Peirson has a lot of time to think about the catch and he holds his nerve. Anything can happen now with six needed from the final over.
18.5 - J Lalor to J Silk
Slower ball back of a length, off stump moves in front driving, well timed in the air under control past long off for 4 runs. Silk has really taken this match by the scruff of the neck now, it looks like he will be the hero for the Sixers.
18.4 - J Lalor to J Silk
Length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control past deep square leg for 4 runs. Silk manufactures the ball over square leg, super batting under pressure.
18.3 - J Lalor to J Philippe
Yorker, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, to backward point for 1 run, fielded by Pattinson.
18.2 - J Lalor to J Philippe
Slower length ball, off stump moves in front Scoop, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Oh my word, that is a ridiculous stroke. Lalor follows Philippe as he shuffles outside off and then the batsman tumbles to the ground as he helps it around the corner. Not exactly elegant but it's effective.
18.1 - J Lalor to J Silk
Slower ball short, down leg side moves in front pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Burns.
