HH vs ST, Match 11, KFC T20 Big Bash League 2018/2019, 28 Dec 2018
Hobart Hurricanes won by 7 wickets
BALL BY BALL
D A Short
19.1 - S Rainbird to S Milenko
Length ball, to leg backing away driving, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. Hobart Hurricanes have pulled off a miraculous run chase at the Blundstone Arena to defeat Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets with 5 balls to spare. At the halfway point it looked like it would be a tough prospect for the hosts as Jos Buttler continued his sensational form to strike a rapid 89. The men in purple were sloppy in the field but quickly put that behind them as D'Arcy Short (58) and Matt Wade (85) put on 120 for the first wicket. The two left-handers were brutal against the pace bowlers and sensible against the spinners, laying the foundation for skipper George Bailey to finish the job as the visiting bowlers struggled with the dew. That means the Hurricanes maintain their perfect start to the season, while the Thunder suffer their first defeat of the campaign. That was a great night of entertainment in Hobart, we'll be back tomorrow with more of the same from Melbourne.

18.4 - D Sams to G Bailey
Yorker, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, well timed in the air under control past third man for 4 runs. Bailey has taken this match by the scruff of it's neck, showing all his experience to stay calm in a pressure situation. The home crowd is already celebrating.
18.3 - D Sams to G Bailey
Slower length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, thick edge in the air uncontrolled to third man for 2 runs, fielded by Root.
18.2 - D Sams to G Bailey
Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep point for 2 runs, fielded by McAndrew, appeal made for Run Out.
18.2 - D Sams to G Bailey
Full toss, off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control to deep mid wicket for 1 run. Drama in Hobart, Sams serves up a high full toss that Bailey nonchalantly swats into the crowd. It's a no-ball for height, the worst possible outcome for the visitors. Surely that has swung the pendulum in favour of the hosts.
