19.6 - D Sams to L Pope

Yorker, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Buttler. There it is. Thunder win the Sydney derby by 21 runs. They were in complete control when they had Sixers at 56-6 but a massive partnership between Tom Curran and Sean Abbott put a few nerves in the camp. Once Curran fell though so did the rest of the tail as Daniel Sams cleaned up in the final over. Fawad Ahmed was also superb and bamboozled everyone who came across him.We have a day off for Christmas but we are back on Boxing Day for Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers. Join us then.

19.3 - D Sams to S Abbott

Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Ferguson. Straight down the throat of long off. Thunder have had a definite plan to hang the ball outside the off stump and it has worked perfectly. Bit of a juggle from Ferguson but he clings the ball to his chest.

18.6 - C Green to T Curran

Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Cook. Superb over from Green and he ends with a wicket to his name. Tossed up outside the off stump and Curran has to reach out and try to create some power. Not enough on this occasion and he picks out the fielder at long off.
